Melt in Your Mouth Homemade Fudge

Hey guys! Ok, so this is my first recipe blog post so be prepared if it’s not your usual recipe post. I love to cook and I’ve been thinking about sharing more of my recipes on the blog. So I thought I’d share one of the easiest recipes I know. It’s perfect for the holidays for a sweet treat around the house, something to take to holiday party’s, or even a very low budget gift. My mom was the one that introduced me to fudge and she made it every year for us every time around Christmas. She always has made it homemade and always used this very recipe. So when I was on my own and in my own place it was up to me to keep up stock on fudge in my fridge at Christmas time. Here’s the recipe:

NOTES (recommended before starting):

• This is a large batch of fudge. You can cut the recipe in half for a smaller amount. I make a large batch because I like to take some over to friends & family’s houses when we visit.

• This is a “stir constantly” recipe so have your muscles ready

• (TIP) have all your ingredients ready. For instance bags and jars open, measuring tools ready.

• You can add walnuts, almonds ect. I just never do.

6 cups of sugar

1 1/2 cup of butter

1 1/4 cup of evaporated milk

2 12oz. bags of semi sweet chocolate chips

2 7oz. jars of Jet Puffed Marshmallow Creme

2 tsp of vanilla

Spray a 9×12 pan with cooking spray and set aside.

In a large pot, over medium heat, place butter, sugar and evaporated milk and bring to a small boil (about 10 minutes total) MUST STIR CONSTANTLY.

Once it reaches a small boil, remove from heat and add chocolate chips, marshmallow creme and vanilla. Again stir constantly until completely mixed

After everything is mixed up and all one color, immediately pour into greased pan.

Place pan of fudge in the refrigerator at least 4-6 hours to cool.

So there you have it! This is honestly one of the best tasting fudge recipes I’ve ever had. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of it. I think I’ve got our kids hooked on it too. Whoops! I hope you this helps anyone looking for a good, easy, sweet treat recipe for the holidays, or anytime you feel like it. Again, this isn’t your usual home decor post but it is DIY I suppose hahaha. Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today, it means so much to us, and please please if you try this recipe leave a comment, send a message or find me on Instagram and Facebook and let me know.
