I can’t believe how fast this year has gone by so fast so far! We are almost into summer already!! Here in the Tri-Cities WA I feel like we have completely skipped spring and are going straight into summer. We have had some super nice and warm days lately which has got my family and I outside for activities and yard work. We’ve got our sprinklers going and flowers planted! We planted flowers in the ground and in some pots for our small front porch which brings me to this refresh on our dining table. Since it’s spring/early summer outside, I thought I’d bring it to the inside!
Terra-cotta pots are one of my favorite things. I love the color they give and also the age they bring after using them for a good amount of time. Sometimes it’s so hard to give your new terra-cotta pots an aged look so I’ve been on the look out for some brand new aged looking pots. Michaels came through and I scored a few of these aged pots 50% off in some of their spring decor. I will be going back for some more for our back patio after it’s cleaned and set up. I also snagged some of these faux dusty miller stems at Michaels as well! I LOVE these stems so much. They match a lot of my other faux greenery whiteout having to get a lot of the same type of greenery.
I decided to mix up some of the aged terra-cotta pots with some new ones. I also mixed up the different sizes for more dimension and layers. I think the watering can helps bring the outside in. It helps add outdoor elements with the pots and greenery. I also thought I’d add some architectural pieces to this centerpiece like these legs from an old coffee table and the candle sticks I made out of old spindles. These pieces help keep the indoor elements and keep the space warm and cozy. To help with this set up, I added a piece of leftover fabric underneath it all that I had laying around with my fabric scraps. It didn’t have to be a perfect piece of fabric, just something that adds more cozy to it. The blackberry sage candle is my finishing touch to this refresh. I picked up this amazing smelling candle from Dandelions Wishes Candle Co. at a fun little market that was hosted in our town last weekend. I could have seriously bought every sent candle she had. If you are looking for some amazing handmade soy candles I highly recommend ordering from them!
I’m so happy with the way it all turned out and came together. It makes me feel like I’m outside without being out there sometimes. This centerpiece also could pass as an outdoor patio table centerpiece. It would be just the opposite of have the outdoors in. I hope I can help inspire someone looking for a perfect spring/summer table setting. If you have any questions please feel free to send me an email, comment, or message as I’d love to help out.
